Christmas Shopping Without Children
This time of year, in shopping centers all around the city, I see people struggling to get their shopping done within the time frame of the attention span of their children. Not an easy task. Children don’t like shopping, unless you are spending your time in the toy aisle buying them everything they want. The problem is, they want everything. And don’t try to take them to a store with tiny aisles and no carts, or a store with the perfect collectable for Aunt Mildred. You may end up buying more collectibles than you bargained for.
Don’t get me wrong – I love children. I just remember well the trials of any shopping event with four children, all vying for their favorite toy, cereal, candy, snack. You name it, they wanted it, and they couldn’t all have the same favorite.
Now, you can shop without the children and get in a little parent time.
HIP Studios offers a Parents Night Out program for your little ones. They can play, watch a movie, do crafts and have a snack, while you get your shopping done. During the month of December they are offering the program every Saturday until Christmas, from 5:30 til 12:00 midnight. Their regular Parents Night is the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
